Edsel G. Rogers

     Edsel G. “Chico” Rogers, 67, of Marion, passed away Friday, November 28, 2025, at Blue Ridge Regional Hospital in Spruce Pine.

     Chico was born in Seneca, South Carolina, on July 27, 1958, to the late Edsel Ford Rogers and Jessie Bell Grant Rogers. He loved being outdoors and was an avid fisherman. Chico enjoyed working with his hands and was a talented craftsman. He never knew a stranger and was always known to help others in need. Most of all, he loved his family, who were the light of his life. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

     In addition to his parents, Chico was preceded in death by a brother, Roy Rogers.

     Those left to cherish his memory include a son, Caleb Rogers (Katelyn); a sister, Buela Crow; two step grandchildren, Bailey and Bristol Worley; and his beloved cat, Gizmo.

     In accordance with his wishes, no services will be held.

     In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
