Dear Family of Edith Holifield:

I only knew Edith for about 5 years but in that short time I really appreciated how much she loved people and respected the Bible. She told me she tried to read it daily. That's a very worthy goal. I truly believe her faith in and love for God and the Bible's principals helps guide her life's choices and gave her comfort when she experience sorrow in her life. Also I know she prayed regularly that was also a source of strength and comfort to her. Edith certainly had many admirable qualities that we'd all do well to imitate. My sincere condolences to her Children, Grandchildren and other friends and family. This scripture passage from the Gideon's Bible King James Version is so comforting for what we can look forward to in the future. Revelation 21:4 "And God shall wipe away all their tears from their eyes: and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: the former things have passed away".

What a giving, loving, and thoughtful woman. A woman that could be an example to all of us ladies and has been a positive influence to so many lives. A woman that gave and gave and made it look easy. I am so thankful that I got to know her many years ago as a young girl and I could never forget her and her family and all that they have done for me. She shined a light towards the Lord for me and many others. She will be missed and I pray for the comfort that only Jesus can give for the family. Lisa, she loved you so much and you were such a good granddaughter and caregiver to her. I know you will continue to show the Christian love as she did to others.

Lakie, this is Lisa. As I was going through pictures yesterday, I found a poem that you had written her when you were a little girl. She kept everything sentimental that children gave her. I want you to know that you were special to her and that she loved you.

I was so sad to hear of Grandmother Edith's passing. She was a great part of all 3 of my children's lives at Head Start and she will always be remembered as a true blessing to our family. My condolences to her family.

Mrs. Hollifield was the sweetest person Ive ever met and we quickly became friends. When she would come by the credit union we would just sit and talk after her business was done. We would talk about our family, where she grew up and our love for God; but most of all how his love for us. I have missed her so much and now I know she is in Heaven reunited with her husband.
