Earl Gerald Brown

Earl Gerald Brown, age 57, of Marion, passed away, Sunday September 22, 2019 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills Inpatient Unit. Earl was born July 27, 1962 in McDowell County to Margaret Brown Surratt.

He was formerly employed as a rock splitter, and enjoyed fishing and watching NASCAR. Earl was known as an avid UNC Tarheel fan.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by two children; Heather Brown and Jamie Brown (Casey); one brother, Joe Surratt; two sisters, Gail Robinson and Amy Lee. Two grandchildren also survive.

At this time no services are planned.
