Douglas George Bartlett

On the morning of Sunday, November 7, 2021, Douglas George Bartlett passed away at Memorial Campus. A native of McDowell County, Doug was born on February 12, 1953 to the late Willie Bartlett and Ruby Roland Elliott.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, April Dawn Bartlett.

Always joking with his friends and family, Doug had a wonderful sense of humor. When he was able, he enjoyed the outdoors especially fishing and grilling. He was a great friend to all that knew him.

He is survived by five children, Corey Duvernois (Jessie), Tonya Radford (Tommy), Shannon Bartlett (Wendy), Fabian Bartlett (Tonia) and Sonya Biddix. Also surviving Doug are his siblings, Jackie Bartlett, Alma Jamison and Timothy Bartlett; twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

In keeping with Doug’s wishes, a private family memorial will be held.
