Doris Ann (Hollifield) McGinnis

Doris Ann (Hollifield) McGinnis, 67, of Old Fort, passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at her residence.                                                   

Doris was born in Yancey County, North Carolina on June 10, 1954 to the late Ellis Hollifield and the late Shirley Barnett Hollifield. Doris enjoyed watching TV, shopping and most of all spending time with her grandchildren. She also loved her family very much.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Scott McGinnis and a brother, Richard Hollifield.

Those left to cherish her memory are, her husband of fifty years, Jack McGinnis of Old Fort; a son Jimmy McGinnis (Alina) of Old Fort; a brother Billy Hollifield of Old Fort; a sister Debbie Henson of Old Fort; grandchildren, J.D. McGinnis, Tony McGinnis, Ellie McGinnis, Silas Walker, Katie Kirkpatrick, all of Old Fort and three great grandchildren, Scott McGinnis, Travis McGinnis and Brooklyn McGinnis all of Nebo.

Services will take place at a later date.
