Doris Juanita Hammond Chrisawn Grybko

Doris Juanita Hammond Chrisawn Grybko, 70, of Marion, passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at her residence.

She was born on November 11, 1955 in Ypsilanti, Michigan to the late Ernest Earl Hammond and Beatrice Mae Craig Hammond.

Doris’ passion was nursing. She spent her career working primarily in geriatric care. She looked forward to camping trips twice a year with her husband and beloved friends. She had a heart for her animals, working in her garden, and joking and laughing with her family. Doris loved her family immensely, and she will be missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Crystal Gayle Chrisawn; two brothers, Johnny Hammond and David Hammond; and her sister, Dorothy Hopson.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Alan Grybko; two sons, Paul Chrisawn, II (Patty) and Adam Chrisawn (Sarah); eight grandchildren, Tyler, Bradley, Luke, Carabeth, Richard, Ethan, Zoey, and Lainey; two great-grandchildren, Wren and Sylvie; one brother, Kenneth Hammond; step-son, Andrew Grybko (Rebecca); step-grandsons, Anthony and Alex; step-granddaughter, Madeline; and dear friends, Joseph Davis and Doreen McDonald.

The family will receive friends on Monday, July 13, 2026 from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. at Beam Funeral Service. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be private at Ebenezer Cemetery at a later date.
