Dor Jeong

     Dor Jeong, 90, of Marion, formerly of New York, NY, passed away Thursday, August 13, 2026, at her residence.

     Dor was born in Staten Island, NY on March 5, 1936, to the late Gow Shee and Gong Jeong. She spent most of her life in the Chinatown neighborhood of Manhattan. Dor was a member of the Lions Club, loved to travel, and was very skilled with origami. She loved to read and frequently volunteered at several premier museums around New York City. She was a very independent and strong kindhearted lady and will always be loved and remembered.

     Dor was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Main Jeong & his wife Patricia; and two sisters, Hong Jeong Chin & her husband Ben, and Hsien Jeong Wu & her husband Jimmy.

     She is survived by her daughter, Laura Louie (Darrell Wilson); her grandson, Herbert Richardson; and a host of nieces and nephews.

     A service to honor Dor’s memory will be held at a later date.
