Donald Dean Martin

Donald Dean Martin, 80, of Nebo, passed away Thursday, February 10, 2022.

Donald was born in McDowell County on June 10, 1941 to the late Paul Singleton Martin and the late Beulah Duncan Martin. He was a longtime member of Pinnacle Baptist Church. Donald was a master builder who worked in construction when he was just sixteen years old. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t build. He also enjoyed riding ATV’s. Donald was a very loving husband, father and papa who will be missed greatly.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of sixty years, Linda Martin; a son Neil Martin (Cindy); a sister Christine Mills; a brother Samuel Martin and two grandchildren, Makenna Martin and Brooke Friesland.

The family would like to express a special thank you to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills for the care given to their loved one.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 14, 2022 at Pinnacle Baptist Church with the Rev. Mark Hollifield and the Rev. Ronnie McKinney officiating. Interment will follow at Laurel Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Nebo.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
