Dennis "Blaine" Biddix

Dennis “Blaine” Biddix, 79, of Nebo, North Carolina, passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.

A native of Mitchell County, he was born March 11, 1944 to the late Lloyd and Floy McKinney Biddix. Blaine was an avid outdoorsman and a talented musician. He worked for many years at Air Preheater. He loved life, and he loved his family. Blaine made friends everywhere he went, and he truly never met a stranger. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Michael Biddix and two sisters, Wanda Bennett and Shirley Calhoun.

He is survived by three sons, Chris Biddix (Lisa), Jimmy Biddix (Kristi), and Dennis Biddix (Melissa); seven grandchildren, Ethan (Becca), Ashley (Nathan), Taylor (Jared), Michael, Miranda, Alyson, and Kylie; three great grandchildren, Jonas, Elijah, and Oliver; and three siblings, Billie Triplett, Jim Biddix, and Richard Biddix.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service with Rev. Terry Roach officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private for the family at Berry Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery in Spruce Pine.

Flowers are accepted or memorial donations may be made to St. Jude, Gideon’s International, of Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.
