Denise Christine Young Biggerstaff, age 56, of Marion, passed away on October 26, 2026, at Mission Hospital McDowell. Denise was born on November 23, 1969, in McDowell County.

Denise was a loving and devoted wife whose gentle spirit and caring nature touched the lives of those closest to her. She cherished the comfort and peace of home and often preferred the moments spent there.

Denise had a very special place in her heart for her six beloved fur companions: Zander Gage, Zippo, Hidea Lee, Lindsey Lou, Oaklee Lynn, and Hershey Pie. They were more than pets to her; they were cherished members of her family and a constant source of companionship, comfort, and joy. She took great pleasure in caring for them and treasured the unique bond she shared with each one.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Mike Biggerstaff; and her very best friend, Debbie Grindstaff, of Marion.
