Delores Smith Patterson

     Delores Smith Patterson, 68, of Spruce Pine, passed away Friday, January 5, 2024, at Mission Memorial Hospital in Asheville.

     Delores was born in Mitchell County, NC on August 15, 1955, to the late Clarence Smith, Jr. and Dollie Davis Smith. She was a member of Spruce Pine Christian Church. She enjoyed bowling and had a special place in her heart for animals. Delores loved the Lord and her family. She will be greatly missed.

     She is survived by her husband, Marcus Patterson; a daughter, Amanda Camp (Jeff); two sisters, Linda Whitson and Violet Miller (Jim); three nieces, Michelle Miller (Allen), Melissa Gurley (Brent), and Danielle Grindstaff; a nephew, Kenny Whitson (Jennie); and her beloved dogs and cat, Heidi, Brandy, and Patches. She had great nephews and nieces whom she loved dearly.
