Deborah Jean Lynch

Deborah Jean Lynch, 72, of Morganton, passed away Monday, October 12, 2026 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Rutherford County on May 11, 1954 to the late Ben and Mattie Lynch.

Deborah was a member of Bridge42 Church. She had a true servant’s heart and could always be found helping others. She volunteered at Burke United Christian Ministries Food Distribution and Meals on Wheels. Deborah also enjoyed making blankets to give away. Her hobbies included gardening and watching Westerns.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by her children, Zondra Lynch Wheeler (Tyrone) and Anthony Lynch; four grandchildren, Shalice Lynch, Shaunna Hutchins, Sisalynn Norman, and Phydel Nwanze; three great-grandchildren, Kamari Norman, Evie-Marie Hutchins, and DJ Ruff; two brothers, Lee Lynch (Loretta) and Eugene Dickey; one sister, Judy Meeks (Robert); and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

A memorial service will be held at Bridge42 Church. The date and time will be announced once finalized.
