Debbie Kaye Kuhns

Debbie Kaye Kuhns, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2026, at her residence. Born on August 2, 1956, in Sunbury, Pennsylvania, she lived a life marked by love, dedication, and cherished family bonds.

Debbie was known for her warm and loving nature, embodying the roles of a loving wife, mother, and grandmother with grace and unwavering commitment. She found joy in simple pleasures such as crocheting and playing bingo, activities that reflected her gentle spirit and zest for community connection.

Her proudest accomplishment was her faithful attendance at Green Hill Baptist Church, where she nurtured her spiritual life and shared fellowship with many.

Debbie is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years, John L. Kuhns. She is also lovingly remembered by her daughters, Tina Stump and Crystal Lyons (William), and her sister Julie Knarr. Her brother Montgomery Ross also survives her.

Her legacy lives on through her cherished grandchildren, Jacklyn, Brian, John, and Chyna, as well as her great-grandchildren Vicente, Valencio, Brayden, and Michael, all of whom brought immense joy and pride to her life.

Debbie’s life was also touched by those who preceded her in death: her parents, Kenneth and Patricia Ross; her son, Michael Kuhns; and her brother, Kenneth Ross Jr. Their memories remain an enduring part of her story.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials should be made to the Green Hill Baptist Church at 1941 US 74 Alt. Rutherfordton, NC 28139.
