Deanna Elizabeth Nichols Jaynes

Deanna Elizabeth Nichols Jaynes, age 80, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away Friday, February 11, 2022 at her residence.

She was born in McDowell County on September 29, 1941 to the late Hubert Woodrow Nichols and Pauline Beam Nichols. She is also preceded in death by her sister, Christine Hollifield; and a grandson, Ethan Jaynes.

Deanna was a quiet-natured and compassionate lady. She worked as a registered nurse for many years. She loved animals and kids, and she was particularly fond of her children and grandchildren. Deanna was also very religious and had a strong faith.

She is survived by her husband, David Jaynes; two children, David Jaynes and Michael Jaynes (Lora); and three grandchildren, Zachary Jaynes, Luke Jaynes, and Rylee Jaynes.

In accordance with her wishes, no services are planned.
