David Allen Whittington

 David Allen Whittington, 25, of Nebo, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2025, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

 David was born in McDowell County, NC on July 14, 1999, to Donna Whittington and the late Jerry Burdett Whittington. David was a member of Pinnacle Baptist Church and loved being outdoors. He enjoyed skateboarding, fishing, and tree climbing. David was a wonderful son, brother, and nephew who will always be loved and missed. 

 In addition to his father, David was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Hiram Whittington; his maternal grandparents, Sylvia Patton and David Edwards; an aunt, Gail Eller; and an uncle, Allen Edwards. 

 He is survived by his mother, Donna Whittington; his grandmother, Genevieve Whittington; three brothers, Matthew, Daniel, and Mark Whittington; two aunts, Debbie Lambert and Sheila Edwards; two uncles, Brian Edwards and Jeff Whittington; and his special cousins, Lori Walker, Tracy McCall, and Ben Collingsworth.

 A memorial service will be held at a later date. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
