David Lee Rhyne, 81, of Nebo, North Carolina, passed away Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Memorial Mission Hospital.
A native of Avery County, David was born on May 10, 1941 to the late Jack and Ruth Dellinger Rhyne. A brother, Roger Rhyne, also precedes him in death.
David was a member of Trinity Hill Free Will Baptist Church. He was a very passionate fan of Duke basketball, and watching westerns was something he truly enjoyed. David was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He loved everyone he came in contact with and will be missed by all.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Roland Rhyne; two children, Carla Walker (William) and Scott Rhyne (Lisa); two grandchildren, Cody Rhyne and Jacob Rhyne; and two brothers, Charles Rhyne (Lela) and Larry Rhyne.
The family will hold a memorial service on Monday, December 26, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Trinity Hill Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Lewis officiating.
