David Clarence Reed

David Clarence Reed of Marion, passed away at Mission McDowell Hospital on Friday, July 29, 2022.

David was born in McDowell County on April 30, 1955 to Clarence Reed and the late Carolyn Brooks Reed.

David received a Black Belt in Isshin-ryu and was also a rescue scuba diver and Cessna Pilot. He enjoyed restoring classic cars and was known for designing and building custom pool sticks. David was also known for his sense of humor and enjoyed fishing with the grandkids. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Those left to cherish his memory including his father, are the love of his life, his wife of 33 years, Karen Reed; two children, Amanda Chrisawn (Alan) and Wesley Reed; a brother Robert Reed (Gladys) and sister Debbie Grant (Steve); three grandchildren, Rodney Kinser (Makayla), Kasey Cade (Austin) and Joshua Chrisawn; one great grandchild, Austin Cade Jr. along with his best friend Steve Gentry.

A private celebration of life will be held for the immediate family at the residence.
