David Terry McPeak, Sr.

David Terry McPeak, Sr., 76, of Marion, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2025 at Mission Hospital in Asheville.

A native of Bradford County, Florida, David was born July 1, 1948 to the late William Columbus McPeak and Cora Strickland McPeak.

David was a retired captain and served in law enforcement. He was also a proud veteran of the United States Army. He enjoyed wood-working and will be remembered for his exceptional sense of humor. Above all else, he loved his family immensely. He was a wonderful father, brother, and grandpa and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his two children, David McPeak (LaShonda) and Jackie Lilly; one sister, Gail Swchitzer (Butch); eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at 12:00 noon in the Chapel of the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
