David Allen Epley

     David “Allen” Epley, 56, of Nebo, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at UNC Health Blue Ridge in Morganton.

     Allen was born in Burke County, NC on January 30, 1968, to the late George Washington Epley and Agnes Evelyn Norville Epley. He was married to his wife of 39 years, Patricia Boone Epley. Allen was a firearms enthusiast and a life member of the NRA. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. Most of all, Allen loved his family. He will be greatly missed. 

     In addition to his parents, Allen was preceded in death by two brothers, Cecil Epley and Lee Wishion.

     Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Pat Epley; three sons, George Epley (Savanna), Jon Epley (Kylie), and David Epley (Cassey); three brothers, James “Wishbone” Wishion (Pamela), Eddie Wishion (Karen), and Steve Brackett (Trudy); his mother-in-law, Linda Boone; a brother-in-law, Rick Boone (Mary Lynn); eight grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family members. 

     The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., Monday, March 25, 2024, at Beam Funeral Service.
