David Ray Broome

David Ray Broome, age 64, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at his residence with family at his side.

He was born in McDowell County on September 02, 1956 to Lloyd Ray Broome and the late Betty Crawley Broome.

A member of Unity Full Gospel Church, David loved his church family. He was always friendly to all, and he expressed kindness and love to each person he came in contact with. Even when he was not feeling well, David always made a point to speak to each person at church. He loved his family greatly, particularly each of his seven grandchildren.

In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by several aunts and uncles, including a special aunt, Dena Hardin.

He is survived by his father, Ray Broome; his wife of 22 years, Connie Broome; three daughters, Ragan Robinson and spouse, Christy Lytle (Rob), and Jessica Webster (Kenny); seven grandchildren, Ember, Hayden, Makayla, Brooklyn, Camden, Noah, and Colten; and two siblings, James Paul Broome and Louisa Dyer.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 04, 2021 at Unity Full Gospel Church at 58 Zion Hill Road, Marion at 3:00 p.m. His pastor, Tommy Hardin, will officiate the service. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service.
