Darrell Joe Stamey

Darrell Joe Stamey, age 60, of Marion, North Carolina passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 8, 2018. A native of McDowell County, Darrell was born on April 23, 1958 to the late Donald and Violet Mace Stamey.

Darrell was a self-employed plumber for over thirty years and was a proud member of the National Rifle Association (NRA). He loved being outdoors hiking and fishing, but most of all he was a great dad and loved his grandchildren.

Darrell is survived by two children, Colen Stamey (Emily) and JoBeth Stamey; two sisters, Elaine Finley, Cecilia Stamey and one brother, Terry Stamey. Also surviving Darrell are four grandchildren, Aubrey Stamey, Aiden Hollifield, Gage and M.J. Revis.

A service to celebrate Darrell’s life will be held on Monday, September 17, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Beam Funeral Service with Reverend Dean Owenby officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
