Darlene Laws Hall



Darlene Laws Hall, 71, of Old Fort, North Carolina, passed away Monday, April 19, 2021 at her residence while surrounded by her family.


She was born in Mitchell County on July 04, 1949 to the late Ottis Laws and Clara Lee Presnell Laws.


Darlene was a hard worker and had the strongest spirit. She enjoyed cooking for her friends and family, and they will especially remember her biscuits and gravy. Darlene was a Memaw to many. She helped raise many children from birth to adulthood, both family and friends. 


In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Bill “Tunnie” Hall, Jr., a sister, Helen Laws and a son-in-law Tony Moseman.


She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Moseman and Sandra Davis; two sons, Matthew Hall (Misty) and Thomas Hall; nine grandchildren, Heather Moseman, Jossalin Davis, Jeremiah Davis, Zackery Saunooke Hall, Justin Davis, Steven Davis,  Zachery Dewayne Hall, Ryleigh Blake and Deven Blake (Kaitlyn); two great grandchildren, Kharter and Kannon Brown; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends.


A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 23, 2021 in the chapel of Beam Funeral Service at 3:00 p.m. Reverends Steve Bugenhagen, Steven Davis, Bill Wilson, and Danny Sprinkle will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Community Cemetery.


In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hall Family, 2170 Rutherford Road, Marion, North Carolina 28752.

Darlene was one of the most beautiful souls I think I have ever met. I never heard her speak an ill word about anyone. God Bless the family. May God give you comfort and peace that only he can.

Darlene was such a sweet beautiful soul. I looked up to her. She always had a positive attitude no matter what her circumstances. She'll be truly missed. I'm sorry for all this family has been through lately.

Darlene was like a mom to me we had some great times in the last days I wasn't there for her like I should have but I just didn't feel.like going a lot but she will sure be miss love her so much and you kids if you all need anything just call.ok love you will be praying for you
