Curtis Ray Landis

Curtis Ray Landis, 57, of Marion, passed away Friday, May 31, 2024 at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center.

Curtis was born in Yancey County on August 21, 1966 to the late Vera Grindstaff. He was also preceded in death by a grandmother, Flora Lee Grindstaff. He was a mechanic by trade and enjoyed working on cars, especially old ones. He was a wonderful family man and loved each member of his family wholeheartedly. Curtis will be remembered for his big heart and will be missed greatly by all.

He is survived by his wife, Crystal Strickland Landis; two daughters, Alivia Landis and Amy Ramsey; one grandson, Brayden Ramsey; his sister, Freda Hensley (Mike); three nieces, Angel Hensley (Buck), Jessie Borath, and Jamie Phillips; nephew, Andrew Hensley (Gabby); one great niece, Gabby; mother-in-law. Sherry Franklin; and sister-in-law. Jeannie Strickland.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service. Burial will follow at McDowell Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
