Creola Fox

On the morning of Sunday, March 6, 2022, Creola McIntosh Fox passed away at her residence. A native of Yancey County, Creola was born on February 8, 1939 to the late Lattie C. and Pearl Randolph McIntosh.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Fox and one son, William “Bill” C. Burleson, Jr.

Left to cherish her memories are one daughter, Penny Burleson; one brother, L.C. McIntosh; one daughter-in-law, Donna Marsh Burleson; six grandchildren, Chad Marsh (Crystal), Chris Marsh (ShiAnn), Heather Buchanan (Ricky), Emily Davis (Eric), Nick Burleson (Jessica) and Matt Burleson (Priscilla) along with fifteen great-grandchildren.

Creola worked in the textile industry for over 40 years. But her true passion was her family. A fierce protector and wonderful provider, she lived her life always thinking of others. Her selfless example came from her deep faith in Jesus Christ whom she is now at home with. She will be forever missed.

In keeping with Creola’s wishes, a private family service will be held at a later date.
