Coy Lee Wilson

Coy Lee Wilson, 76, of Marion, left his earthly home on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 to spend eternity with his beloved wife Barbara in Heaven.

Coy was born in Yancey County, NC on April 20, 1947 to the late AA Wilson and the late Della Banks Wilson.

He was a former member of Ashworth Road Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. Coy recently attended Gethsemane Free Will Baptist Church where he was the choir director. He was an exceptional father to his three girls. Coy was known as a hardworking man and was a good friend to many.

Surviving Coy are his three daughters, Tonya Wilson Biddix (Eddie), Angie Wilson Dotson (Sam) and Julie Wilson Barber (Matthew); a sister, Sarah Bartlett; a brother, Dennis Wilson (Linda); six grandchildren, Joshua Randolph (Hayley), Hunter Biddix, Samantha Dotson, Eli Biddix, Braelyn Barber, and Piper Barber; a great grandson, Rowan Randolph and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on June 25, 2023 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Beam Funeral Service with the Rev. Ralph Reep officiating. Receiving of friends will take place one hour prior to the service from 2:00 until 3:00 at the funeral home. Burial will take place at McDowell Memorial Park on Monday, June 26, 2023 at 11:00 am.
