Coleman Earl "Bo" Freeman

Coleman Earl “Bo” Freeman, 75, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away Saturday, June 17, 2023 at Autumn Care of Marion.

Bo was born in Marion on September 16, 1947 to the late Ronald Earl Freeman and Helen Louise Owensby Freeman. A brother, Bob Freeman, also precedes him in death.

Bo retired from Collins and Aikman as a supervisor. He loved to fish and tend to his horses. Most of all, he loved his family, especially his grandchildren, wholeheartedly.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Rathbone Freeman; sister, Mary Smith (James); brother, Jerry Freeman; two grandchildren, Daniel Freeman (Kendra) and Ashley Waycaster (Cody); and four great grandchildren with another on the way.

A funeral service to celebrate Bo’s life will be held on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. Following the service, Bo will be laid to rest at Remnant Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery on the site of his original homeplace.
