Clyde Lee Conner

Clyde Lee Conner, 83, of Marion, passed away at his residence on Monday, August 3, 2026.

Clyde was born in McDowell County to the late John Conner and Ethel Arrowood Conner on April 6, 1943. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Bobbie Hill, Charles Conner, Pauline Revis, Pat Stines and Frances Reel.

Clyde was a member of Ridgeway FWB Church. He loved building and working with wood. Clyde retired from Builders Supply following 44 years of service. He also loved being outside and working in his garden. Clyde was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 64 years, Diane Conner; his three children, Arrie Conner (Barbara), Margaret Conner Clark, and Vickie Conner Woody; his three brothers, Roger (Donna), Buford (Nancy) and Johnny Conner (Diane), along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at Ridgeway FWB Church Cemetery on Friday, August 7, 2026 at 11:00 am. Mr. Terry Trinks will officiate the service.
