Claris Dawn Robinson Noblitt, 78, of Old Fort, went Home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at CarePartners Hospice Solace Center.
A lifelong resident of McDowell County, she was born on June 18, 1947 to the late Carl Joseph Robinson and Reba Hensley Robinson.
Known as a wonderful Christian woman, the love Claris had for the Lord was foremost in her life. She found great joy in being a devoted wife, a loving mother, and an adoring grandmother and great-grandmother. Her family meant the world to her, and she poured her heart into every relationship, nurturing them with love and kindness. Claris enjoyed tending to her flowers, and she was very crafty, often sharing her creative spirit with others.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 57 years, Howard Edward Noblitt; three daughters, Renee Taylor (Tim), Denise McNeil (Phil), and Dawn Brown (Tony); five grandchildren, Blake Smith, Brittany Bolden, Austin Smith (Tabitha), Maggi Brown (Bradley), and Dylan Grindstaff (Noelle); five great-grandchildren, Cheyenne, Olivia, Elliott, Maple, and Whitleigh; and three siblings, Cynthia Lytle, Alton Robinson, and Sabra Bradley (Craig).
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at the Beam Celebration Center. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. and will be officiated by Dr. Tom Walker and Pastor Phillip Wishon. Interment will be in Cherry Springs Memorial Park.
