Clarence Sean Martin

Mr. Clarence Sean Martin, age 55, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at his residence.

He was born in Newark, New Jersey on October 15, 1965 to Velma Adams Martin and the late Clarence Martin, Sr.

Clarence was a business graduate of Georgia Tech. A proud veteran of the United States Army, he enjoyed the outdoors and especially visiting Grandfather Mountain. He was a loving father, brother, uncle, and grandfather as well as a friend to many.

Those left to cherish his memory are his four children, David C. Gillians, Savel Young, Kayla Young, and Kayonna Young; and nine grandchildren including    Da-Line Gillians, Domonique Gillians, and Davion Gillians; one brother, Nathaniel Martin; plus many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service to celebrate Mr. Martin’s life will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2020 in the chapel of Beam Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. Military honors will be provided by the North Carolina National Guard.
