Christen "Christy" Leigh Jones

Christen “Christy” Leigh Jones, 50, of Marion, North Carolina, met Heaven on April 4, 2026, surrounded by her daughters, who sang her into the arms of Jesus.

Christy was known for her charismatic and playful spirit, often bringing laughter and light into any room she entered. She had a heart for people and found purpose in mentoring and pouring into those around her. Above all, she was a devoted mother and “Lovey,” who dedicated her life to raising her children with love, guidance, and intention, always striving to shape them into kind and grounded individuals.

She found joy in traveling, soaking up the sun, and spending cherished time with her grandchildren, who brought her immense happiness.

She is survived by her parents, Gregory Ross and Deanna Shaw, and her stepfather, Tom Shaw; her siblings Shelley Young and her husband, Freddy, Charity Peltz, and Steve Ross; her children Karen Jones and her daughter Marley, Melodee Jones, and D’Jan Vallini and her husband, Aaron, and their children Ari Leigh, Leo, and Eli; her bonus children Stephanie Jones, Kimberly Manawat and her partner, VaToria, Douglas Jones Jr., Christien Jones, and Lisa Jones; as well as many honorary children and 16 beloved bonus grandchildren.

Christy’s life was a reflection of love, laughter, and faith, and she will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. at Beam Funeral Service. A funeral service will begin at 3:00 p.m. and will be officiated by Pastor Tony Shirley.
