Charlotte Lorraine Pruitt Hasson, 82, of Spindale, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2026.
A native of Carter County, Tennessee, she was born on September 21, 1943 to the late Burnie Pruitt and Frankie Ann Stonecipher Pruitt.
Charlotte was formerly employed as a machine operator, a CNA, and a hairdresser. She mostly enjoyed being a homemaker and tending to the needs of her family. Charlotte was a devoted Christian who was of the Pentecostal faith. For many years, she was the choir director at Faith Tabernacle. She enjoyed praising the Lord in song every day of her life, and she was constantly in prayer for her family. Her family was second only to her love for the Lord.
Charlotte never met a stranger and was considered a mother by many. She would often invite others into her home and welcome them with open arms. A wonderful mother and grandmother, she was the rose of her family’s lives and always lit up a room by her presence. Though she has passed from this life, her light will never burn out because of the great impact she left on so many.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Hasson; two sons, James Andrew Williams and David Dale Williams; two grandchildren, Josh Williams and Kimberly Tucker; a great-grandson, Ryder Williams; and several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by four children, Burnie Lowe (Lori Seaman Lowe- deceased), Holly Trumble (Daniel Sutherland), Leta Nunley (Daniel), and Pamela Mason; twelve grandchildren, Jonathan Williams, Shonthea Williams, Patrick Trumble (Candace), Jozanna Pruitt (Shannon), Cheyenne Lilly (Abby), Cameron Smith, Evie Smith (Nick), Katie Smith, Lilly Springer, Tyler Freeman, Austin Freeman, and Ella Williams; twelve great-grandchildren, Ainsley Williams, Delilah Williams, Lindsey Maynor (Gabe), Payton Lawrence (Isaac), Ciera Lawrence, Bentley Lawrence, Stephen Pruitt, Nicholas Lowery, Alexis Lowery, Joshua Wilkins, Sarah Hollifield, and Nieviah Corpening; one great-great grandchild, Elijah Stevenson; and two brothers, Mack Pruitt and Boyd Pruitt.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 11, 2026 from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at Beam Funeral Service. A funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. and will be officiated by Revs. Bobby and Rita Pritchard. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
