Charles "Mickey" Jimison

Charles “Mickey” Jimison, 87, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away Sunday morning, May 21, 2023 at Blue Ridge Regional Hospital.

A native of Marion, Mickey was born September 28, 1935 to the late Carl P. Jimison and Valree Hensley Jimison.

Mickey was of the Free Will Baptist faith and was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was employed for 34 years at Drexel. Mickey was a wonderful mechanic who could fix anything. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be missed by all.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Roger Jimison, Benny Jimison, and Jeanetta Wright.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Shirley Fox Jimison; two sons, Jeff Jimison (Betty) and Gary Jimison; ten grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service with Rev. Alan Sailors officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Pass Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m.
