Charles Gaston McPeeters, Jr.

Charles Gaston “Mack” McPeeters Jr. was called home on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  He was born February 16, 1941 to the late Charles Gaston McPeeters Sr and Doris Powlas McPeeters of Swannanoa, North Carolina. He was also preceded in death by his brother, John Samuel McPeeters. Mack resided in Marion North Carolina with his wife Karon McDaris McPeeters. 

He is survived by his wife Karon McPeeters, daughter Angelia Michelle McPeeters, son Richard Lynn McPeeters, sister Judy Ross, step-son Mark Miller, step-daughter Angela Harris, nephew Eric Ross, 14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Mack retired from Kearfott Guidance and Navigation in 2011. His many hobbies include hunting, fishing, playing music, watching sports, gardening, and drawing.  His quick-witted humor and stories have graced all that dared to listen.  His love of the Lord and the desire to serve and spread the word of God has called him to be a leader serving as a Deacon at Clinchfield Baptist Church. He also led many Bible study lessons for adults and children.

The funeral service will be held at Clinchfield Baptist Church, 1150 E Court St, Marion, NC 28752, on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Revs. Terry Roach and Don Mitchell will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m.

Being a veteran of the United States Army, Mack will be interred at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain, NC. He will receive a veteran’s ceremony at 2:00 p.m. Family and friends may arrive at 1:45 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The American Heart Association.
