Charles "Jack" Culbertson Blount

Charles “Jack” Blount, 86, of Marion passed away at his residence on Wednesday, July 12, 2023.

Jack was born in Tampa, Florida on May 6, 1937 to the late Edward Buck Blount and the late Josephine Alma Monrose Blount. He is also preceded in death by his son, Charles Blount, Jr.

Jack proudly served his county in the US Army. He retired from his general contracting career following forty years. He was an avid runner and was lovingly referred to as “Crazy Legs.” Jack enjoyed cooking and was a member of the Gourmet Club. He also enjoyed being a pilot, gardening and working in his flowers.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Wanda Hyder Blount; his two daughters, Charlene Rumfelt (Phillip) and Heather Blount; three grandchildren, Carmen Rumfelt (Jimmie Burris), Candice Gibson (Justin) and Caysie Stevens; and five great grandchildren, Quay Patterson, Khole Patterson, Kinsley Gibson, Ellie Stevens and Brennan Gibson.
