Charles David Bradfield

Charles David Bradfield, age 73, of Newland, North Carolina, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 06, 2020.  The son of the late Donald and Betty Ann Bradfield, he was born in St. Louis, Missouri on November 26, 1946.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded on death by his loving wife, Irene Angela Bradfield.

A veteran of the United States Air Force, Charles enjoyed fishing, avid reader; and was an amateur historian.  He loved to travel and spend quality time with his family. 

Left to cherish Mr. Bradfield’s memories are his one daughter, Monica Shannon (Paul); one son, Aaron Bradfield (Diana Hancock); one brother, Michael Bradfield (Susan); and one sister, Vivian Fredricks (Randy).  He is also survived by four grandchildren, Ellie Starr Cook, Noble Jackson Pierce-Bradfield, Junius Battle Shannon and Charles Johnson Shannon; several nieces and nephews; and many life long friends. 

A celebration of Mr. Bradfield’s life will be held on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at his daughter’s residence.
