Celest Katherine Willy Cooper

Celest Katherine Willy Cooper, 92, of Union Mills, North Carolina, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2022 at her home.

A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she was born on May 01, 1930 to the late George David and Rose Marie Murphy Willy. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Arlie Cooper, Sr.; and six siblings.

Celest was a very religious lady who would help anyone in need. She was kind and generous, and she loved working with her flowers. Celest had a passion for baking and cooking. She received joy by sharing her food with family and friends. She had a heart for animals and also the babies of her family.

She is survived by seven children, Arlie Cooper, Jr., Roselee Rose, Edward Cooper, Ruth Ingerson (Leon), George Cooper (Erin), Robert Cooper (Doreen), and James Cooper (Kathy); one sister, Rose Fadool (Larry); and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 21, 2022 from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. at Beam Funeral Service. No formal service will be held.
