Cecilia "Sadie" Pope

Cecilia “Sadie” Brown Pope, age 58, of Marion, North Carolina, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at Memorial Campus of Mission Hospital in Asheville.  A native of McDowell County, North Carolina, born December 09, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Harland and Edith Mulenex Brown. 

A blessing to all who knew her, Cecilia enjoyed the simple things in life.

She is survived by one brother, Larry Brown and his wife, Betty; two sisters, Pam Rhinehart and her husband, Jim; and Teresa Freeman and her husband, Mike, all of Marion.  She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, “Scaliwag”.

In keeping with Cecilia’s wishes, a private family service will be held at a later date.
