Cecil Roy Webb

Cecil Roy Webb, 90, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away Sunday, July 03, 2022 at CarePartners Hospice Solace Center.

He was born on August 13, 1931 to the late Roy Lee Webb and Easter Pearl Plemmons Webb. He is also preceded in death by his first wife, Sarah Webb; his second wife, Virginia Webb, who died one day prior; and eight siblings, Sanford, Swann, Esterlee, Glenn, Cauley, Earl, Dallas, and Lois Marie.

Cecil was a salesman at heart and worked selling textiles and cars for many years. A member of Yancey Street Baptist Church, he loved the Lord. He served in the United States Navy. Cecil enjoyed traveling and visiting family. He was also a jokester and a true people person. He liked taking friends places.

He is survived by his children, Henrietta Harrell (Larry), Lynn Pruett, and Keith Webb (Joyce); stepchildren, Tim Plemmons (Margaret), Judy Bumgarner (Mike), and Samantha Cobun (Nick); three grandchildren, Jeremy Boston (Jennifer), Tom Christian, and Tara Garland (Richie); six great grandchildren; and one sister, Phyllis Burleson.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 07, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service with Rev. Dean Owenby officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at McDowell Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Yancey Street Baptist Church.
