Carolyn Hollifield Rogers

Carolyn Hollifield Rogers, 63, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at CarePartners Hospice Solace Center in Asheville.

She was born in McDowell County on January 27, 1957 to Nora Bolden Davis and the late Eugene Gaston Hollifield.

Carolyn was a passionate nurse with Mission Hospital for over 30 years. She enjoyed working on her crafts and traveling; taking her grandchildren on adventures, who were very special to her. Above all, she loved the Lord and her family.

In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her son, Jeff Price and her maternal grandmother, Etta Bolden.

Left to cherish her memory, in addition to her mother, are her son, Robbie Price (Melissa); three grandchildren, Trevor, Haven, and Bailey Price; one brother, Randy Hollifield; two sisters, Tina Hendley and Kathy Church (Mark); special nieces and nephew, Roy Hendley III, Haley Sexton, and Jennifer Hollifield; and a special friend, Joey Parker.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 20, 2020 in the chapel of Beam Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Jerry Rogers officiating.  Due to the Covid 19 restrictions, those who are attending are asked to consider wearing a mask and exercise social distancing.
