Carolyn Diane Hamilton, a beloved mother and cherished friend, passed away on December 9, 2024, at Memorial Mission Hospital. Born on March 6, 1951 in McDowell County, she graced the world with her kindness and selflessness for over seven decades.

A devoted woman of faith, Carolyn loved her Lord deeply and took great joy in her family, particularly her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Her nurturing spirit extended far beyond her immediate family; she was always ready to lend a helping hand or share a listening ear to those in need.

In her youthful days, Carolyn displayed a passion for sports, with a particular fondness for softball. Throughout her life, she nurtured her creativity through sewing, crafting beautiful pieces that illustrated her skill and dedication. Carolyn was well-known for her warm personality and willingness to support others, making her a cherished figure in the lives of many.

Carolyn leaves behind her loving family, which includes her former spouse, Ronnie Hamilton; sons, Greg Hamilton, Brian Hamilton and his wife Melanie; her daughter, Kristy Hollifield and her husband James; and her daughter, Karen Matthews. She is also survived by her brother, Mike Price and his wife Brenda; her sisters, Lynn Hall, Regina Hensley and her husband David, Denise Kaufman, Angie Shytle and husband Dean and Christy Howell and husband Bill. In addition, Carolyn is remembered fondly by her sister-in-law, Shelia Price, and a host of grandchildren: Lindsey Parker and her husband Jake, Sarah Higgins and her husband Nick, Christian Hamilton and his wife Ashlynn, Alyssa Morgan, Caleb Hamilton, Carter Matthews, Cason Matthews, and Colton Matthews. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Alaina, Jayden, and Aspyn, and Kash; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her father, Leonard Price, and her mother, Doris Virginia Hall Effler. She was also preceded by her brothers, Keith Price and Tim Price.

Her legacy of love and compassion will continue to live on through the lives of her family and friends, who will forever carry her memory and the lessons she imparted about love, generosity, and faith.

Carolyn Diane Hamilton will be profoundly missed, yet her spirit will resonate in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
