Caroline Ann Garcia

     Caroline Ann Garcia, 59, of Forest City, NC, passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.

     Caroline was born in Bloomington, Indiana, on January 20, 1966, to Shirley Lyon Garcia and the late Richard Garcia. She was of Catholic faith and attended AB Tech Community College in Asheville. Caroline struggled with mental illness and its stigma, but never gave up. She loved to read, draw nature scenes, and discuss politics. Caroline will be greatly missed.

     In addition to her father, Caroline was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Garcia, Jr.; her maternal grandparents, Richard Clark Lyon and Ann Lyon; and her paternal grandparents, Manuel Garcia and Millie Garcia.

     Caroline’s mother, Shirley Lyon Garcia, is left to cherish her memory.

     A memorial service will be held at a later date.
