Carl Woody, Jr.

     Carl Woody, Jr., 74, of Marion, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2023, at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center in Asheville.

     Carl was born in McDowell County, NC on September 10, 1948, to the late Ethel McMahan and Carl Woody, Sr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Ora Lee Cox and Janice Strikeleather; and a great grandson, Rhylee Woody.

     He is survived by a son, Mike Woody (Tammy); a brother, Bryate Woody; two granddaughters, Kristin Norwood (Nathaniel) and Tayler Rose (Robbie); four great grandchildren, Jackson Conner, Mason Conner, Emmalee VanEs, and Graysen Rose; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

     A memorial service will be held at a later date.

     In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
