Carl Garrison, Jr.

Carl Tillman Garrison, Jr., age 85, of Old Fort, NC passed away Sunday, January 7, 2018 at Mountain Ridge Health & Rehabilitation in Black Mountain.

Carl was born April 21, 1932 in Buncombe County, NC to the late Carl Garrison, Sr and Bonnie Garrison.   He loved to play a dobro guitar and trout fish for enjoyment.  He also loved spending time with his family.  Carl believed in a firm handshake and looking a man in the eye.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his granddaughter, Kristen Burnette; three brothers; and three sisters.

Left behind to cherish his memories are his beloved wife of 39 years, Mary Reese Garrison; one daughter, Ashley Garrison; and one grandchild, Jensen Thomas.

A private service will be held at a later date.  Memorialization will be by cremation.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
