Calvin Lee Davis

On the evening of Wednesday, July 20, 2022, Calvin Lee Davis passed away at his residence with his loved ones by his side. A native of Rutherford County, Calvin was born on June 5, 1956 to the late Horace and Elsie Epley Davis.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Marvin Davis.

Calvin enjoyed watching TV especially movies and car racing. He loved his family and his dog “Sunshine”. Calvin was known as a hard worker and made the best lemon cake.

He is survived by his best friend, Sharon Burnette; one daughter, Crystal Curtis Abee; his siblings, Dennis “Porky” Davis, Kenneth “Fuzzy” Davis, Eddie Davis (Julie) and Wayne Davis (Becky). Also surviving Calvin are three grandchildren, Garrett Laws, Daniel Laws and Scarlett Curtis and one great-granddaughter, Gracey Laws.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Beam Funeral Service with Reverend Wesley Ward officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Old Catawba Church Cemetery.
