Nehemiah Wade “Bud” Griffin, age 87, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at the Amorem Caldwell Hospice House in Hudson.

Bud was born on August 11, 1939, to the late Olson Griffin and LaVenia Profitt Griffin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Griffin, his sister, Shirley Henderson; son in law, Aaron Vess; and brother in law, Larry Dotson.

Bud enjoyed many of life's simple pleasures. He loved coon hunting, fishing, and riding his motorcycle. He was a member of Lackey Town Baptist Church and had a special fondness for playing the guitar and listening to bluegrass music. Above all, Bud was a devoted family man who cherished every opportunity to spend time with his loved ones. Whether attending family gatherings or simply enjoying time together, those moments meant the world to him. Bud never met a stranger and had a way of making everyone feel welcome.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 65 years, Imogene Griffin; his children, Wadean Vess and Rhonda Edge (Jack); his granddaughter, Ashley McKinney (Ricky); and his two great-granddaughters, Kenzley McKinney and Briley McKinney; his sisters, Betty Jo Pressley (Burton) and Sherry Dotson; his brother, Bill Griffin (Sandy); his sisters-in-law, Nancy Griffin and Jennifer Briggs; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In keeping with his wishes, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.

The family would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff and caregivers at Amorem for the kindness, compassion, and care they provided to Bud and his family during this difficult time. Their support and dedication will always be appreciated.
