Brenda Kaye Smith

Brenda Kaye Ledford Smith, 55, of Marion, passed away at her residence on Friday, September 5, 2025.

A native of McDowell County, she was born September 19, 1969 to the late Charles Ledford and Savannah Whiteside Ledford.

Known as a hard worker, Brenda worked in housekeeping. When she was younger, she enjoyed playing BINGO, but in her later years, she spent time playing games on her phone and watching movies. A loving mother, grandmother, and sister, she will be missed by all.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Becky Stevens.

Survivors include her daughter, Tabby Ledford; three grandchildren, Nashayla Ledford, Kensley Ledford, and Mason Johnson; her twin sister, Linda Wacaster; and her brother Jeff Ledford.

In accordance with her wishes, no services will be held.
