Brenda Martin

     Brenda Lee Reel Martin, 69, of Marion, passed away, Sunday, October 30, 2022, at her residence.

     Brenda was born in McDowell County, NC on April 4, 1953, to the late Ruby Gentry and James Reel. She was married to her husband of 26 years, James Franklin Martin, who passed away in 1995. Brenda enjoyed sitting on the front porch and working with flowers. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

     In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Jerry Reel, Ernie Reel, Charlie Reel, and Jimmy Reel.

     She is survived by two daughters, Kimberly Poole and Karen Shehan; a son, Derrek Martin (April); a sister, Patricia Martin (Roy); thirteen grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

     A memorial service will be held at a later date.
