Boyd Tony Wilson

     Boyd Tony Wilson, 77, of Nebo, entered the house of the Lord, on Monday, July 27, 2026, at his residence.

     Boyd was born on January 9, 1949, in Caldwell County, NC, to the late Stanley Wilson and Viola Mathis Wilson. He was married to his wife of 57 years, Shirley Dianne Harvey Wilson. He proudly served his country aboard a destroyer, with the United States Navy, during the Vietnam conflict era. Boyd was a strong-willed man of God and was a faithful member of Bethel Freewill Baptist Church. He loved being outdoors and especially enjoyed camping and fishing. He had an appreciation for music and enjoyed attending many concerts. Most of all, Boyd was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He will always be loved and remembered.

     In addition to his parents, Boyd was preceded in death by two sisters, Brenda Hall and Betty Ballard.

     Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Shirley Wilson; two daughters, Sherry Deel (Tim) and Melissa Wilson; a sister, Gail Wilson; a brother, Ben Wilson & spouse; three grandchildren, Makayla Deel, Kaitlyn Renee, and Daniel McKibben; and his beloved dog, Jazmine.

     A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, July 30, 2026, at the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service. Rev. Larry Anderson will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home.
