Bobby Jay Wheeler, born on January 11, 1972, in West Hamlin, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2026, at his residence. He was a dedicated sports official, and an avid enthusiast of the outdoors, leaving a lasting impression on those who knew him.

Bobby spent many years as a referee and umpire, roles through which he demonstrated his commitment to fairness and integrity. His passion for sports was not only evident in his professional career but also in his personal life, where he found joy in both the camaraderie of sporting events and the tranquility of fishing.

He is survived by a loving family. His parents, Orval Wheeler and Patricia Holley. Bobby's brothers, Rob and Dwayne Wheeler, along with his sisters, Ana Wheeler and Sabrina. His son, Wolf Wheeler, alongside Wolf’s fiancée, Elizabeth Owens. Granddaughters Melody and Ava Wheeler also survive. 

He will be deeply missed but remembered with respect and affection by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
