Billie "R.L." Junior Randolph

Mr. Billie “R.L.” Junior Randolph, age 81, of Marion, North Carolina, while surrounded by loved ones, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2020 at Burke Hospice & Palliative Care in Valdese.  Born in Roderfield, West Virginia on March 23, 1938, he was the son of the late Clifford and Garnette Shannon Randolph. 

A lifelong truck driver, R.L enjoyed driving cross country.  He was an avid metal detector operator and fisherman.  A member of Calvary Temple Independent Church in Marion, he loved to taking his family camping. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Nellie W. Randolph; one daughter Ronda Randolph; two sons, Randy Randolph (Chastidy) and Ronnie Randolph (Tonya); one sister, Gloria Moody; three grandchildren, Anna Gass, Carrie Randolph and Zachary Randolph; and two special great grandchildren, Carson Murdock, and Reuben Murdock.

A funeral service to celebrate R.L.’s homegoing will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2020, at 2:00 P.M., in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service with Pastor Brandon Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M., one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at McDowell Memorial Park.
